The Explorer drifted through the blackness, its engines silent, its mission complete. Commander Elara Vance stood at the observation window, Kaelen beside her, their hands intertwined. The stars were the same-bright, endless, full of promise.

"The crew is talking about going home," Kaelen said. "Earth. They want to see it one last time."

Elara looked at the stars, at the vastness of space, at the life they'd chosen. "What do you want?"

He turned to face her, his hands on her shoulders. "I want whatever you want."

She was quiet for a moment, thinking about the cottage, the garden, the apple tree. Thinking about the life they'd left behind, the life they'd built among the stars.

"Let's go home," she said. "One last time."

He pulled her close, held her tight. "One last time."

The Explorer turned toward Earth, its engines burning, its course set for home. The journey was long, but they had each other. They spent the nights on the observation deck, watching the stars, talking about the past.

Earth appeared on the viewscreen, blue and green and beautiful. The Explorer descended through the atmosphere, the clouds parting, the ground rising.

The cottage was still there-overgrown, abandoned, but standing. Elara stood in the doorway, Kaelen beside her, looking at the life they'd put on hold.

"It needs work," she said.

"I know."

They spent the day cleaning, sweeping, repairing. The garden was a jungle, but the apple tree was still there, still bearing fruit.

"We'll plant new vegetables tomorrow," Elara said.

Kaelen pulled her close. "Or we could rest. Just for a day."

She leaned into him, let his warmth steady her. "One day. Then we work."

They sat on the porch as the sun set, the stars appearing, the world quiet. The Explorer was a memory. The adventures were behind them.

"Elara," Kaelen said.

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad we came home."

She looked at the stars, at the vastness of space, at the life they'd chosen. "Me too."

They stayed on the porch until the stars began to fade, until the first light of dawn painted the sky. Then they walked inside, hand in hand, to start another day.

The universe was vast and full of wonders. But they had found their own small piece of it.

And it was enough. It was everything.

Steno HB Pencils for High Speed Writing
Get best price for Steno HB Pencils for High Speed Writing By Rapid Delivery Services, You can order it online at https://www.rapiddeliveryservices.in/buy-rds-products-online-9692.html
